Support Senate Bill 563
Senate Bill 563 was introduced in effort to remove "supervision" which modernizes the language currently in the Nurse Practice Act. It is important to note that this is not a practice expansion bill for CRNAs.
40 states have already removed “supervision” language from CRNA licensing. (see map below)
5 additional states have introduced bills to remove “supervision” language this year. 2 states have passed bills through committee this year.*
CRNAs currently work under a Written Guideline that is approved within the work facility. SB 563 maintains the CRNA Written Guideline, allowing the practice facility to determine the credentialing of the CRNA.
